The IntelliSkin® is a protective sleeve for the Apple iPad mini 4 featuring GDS® Technology. The IntelliSkin® will bring drop protection to your device and features an integrated connector which is molded directly into the skin. This prevents damage to the connector on your device from repetitious docking and un-docking. On the exterior of the skin are molded ruggedized docking contacts designed for repetitive docking and undocking. GDS Technology™ offers a standard connector interface which makes any device wrapped in IntelliSkin® compatible with any GDS® docking station.

Drop Test Passed: Tough. Rugged. Durable. Certified.
RAM Mounts IntelliSkins were recently certified as having passed the rigorous military spec tests for withstanding shock and impact. One of the best features of the IntelliSkin protective case is that it offers the ability to ruggedize any of the tablets, phablets and mobile phones that we cover. While we offer a great warranty, we wanted the assurance that the same product we put on our own devices was actually going to protect all of the consumer devices that have been put into action on warehouses and shops around the world.
So, we sought out an independent, third-party testing lab to put the IntelliSkin through its paces and we passed with, pardon the pun, flying colors. We put four versions of the IntelliSkin through the military spec tablet case drop test process, which consists of 26 drops from 48″, to make sure the whole product line was up to our standards.
We were sworn to secrecy over the actual process the lab uses, but there are a series of requirements devices must meet to pass the test. Since we couldn’t show you exactly what the lab did, we thought we would put the IntelliSkin to the test on our own.
